This year our goal is to have more fun.
To get out of the house whether rain or sun.
But I’m always stuck for ideas to use
It always takes us forever to choose.
So I’ve made a list of things to do
And I’ve tried to make it affordable too.
There’s 52 things, one for each week of the year.
So we can create some family cheer.
Some will have us out for the full day,
Whilst others provide just a few hours of play.
With the New Forest and country parks. There’s so much fun to be had,
Take a picnic for lunch, explore or play hide and seek with dad.
3. Rufus Stone
If you love animals you don’t have to go to the zoo,
There’s plenty of other ways to see animals if you want to.
These aren’t the only places for you to explore,
There’s plenty of parks and beaches with more fun in store.
20. Mayflower Park
21. St James’ Park
25. Weston Shore
28. Calshot Beach
29. Hythe Marina
31. Old Town walk
33. Pickwell Farm
I’ve made sure to include some activities for indoors.
So we have somewhere to escape to if the rain pours.
36. Odeon Kids
37. Kids Today
39. Ickle Village
40. Tenpin Tuesdays
41. Tots City
42. Poppies Crafts
If you don’t mind travelling you could go slightly further away,
Get out of Southampton and escape for the day.
47. Weymouth Beach
48. Clarence Pier
There’s so much more that I could have included
But to think I could afford it all is a little deluded.
So I’ve tried to stick to things that cost less then a ten pounds.
Some cost nothing at all – yep, its as good as it sounds.
Once we’ve done them I might blog about them too,
Then you’ll know if it’s an activity for you.
If you have some ideas that you think we should try
Please comment below, no need to be shy.
Note: I am in no way affiliated with any of these activities. This is simply a list of activities I plan to visit and is not a recommendation or review of any of the places listed. Activities were priced at less than £10 entry for two adults and one toddler at the time of publication. Please check all details of the activity with the venue before setting out.
