My VIP Card

How to save money as a parent in Hampshire | A review in rhyme

Being a parent is expensive. In fact it’s estimated that parents who support their children all the way through from birth to graduation will pay more per child than the average price of a house.

Whilst they’re worth every penny, that’s a lot of money to be spending on your small human.

But, fortunately there are ways to save money and take some of that pain way.

My VIP Card is a discount card to help you make savings on everyday things in Hampshire including baby groups, home improvements, beauty treatments and restaurants.

Unfortunately, Roo hasn’t been very well so we haven’t had a chance to get full use out of it but here’s why I think everyone in Hampshire (not just parents) should consider getting one.

My VIP Card – A review in rhyme

As a mum sometimes I feel like I’m constantly spending money.
Food, shopping and baby classes – none of it is free.

But now I have a discount card that helps me save some dough,
It’s called My VIP Card and it will help to keep costs low.

It means I can save money on things that I would buy anyway,
So I can have some extra cash to treat myself one day.

There’s lots of money to be saved on fun things to do.
There are role play centres, children’s classes and swimming too.

There are discounts for beauty treatments including nails, waxing and hair.
Plus discounts on spa days – oh I can’t wait to go there.

There’s also lots of savings on food and drink to be had.
There are coffee shops for day dates and restaurants for dinner with dad.

And if you need some work done in the garden or your house,
There are discounts on cleaners, gardeners, plumbers and so much else.

To get your discount card the annual subscription is just £19.99,
And with over 140 discounts I’m sure you’ll make that back in no time.

I just wish it was available when I was still on maternity leave,
I spent more money in Coffee #1 than you’ll ever believe.

Whilst it’s designed for parents, you don’t need children to benefit.
There’s so many great discounts that anyone in Hampshire should have it.

With savings on Dominos and Sprinkles to name just a few,
You’re guaranteed to find discounts that will help you make savings too.

It’s really such a nice way to support some local companies,
Whilst helping your family save up some extra pennies.

If you want to find out more simply visit,
Where you can see a list of discounts and buy a card today.

Date nights are quite rare at the moment but when we do get some baby-free time we like to try new restaurants and this is one we’ve had our eye on for a while.

Coffee #1 – 10% off everything in store, applies to all Southampton stores, Eastleigh, Portswood and Shirley

This was my maternity leave hang out! Nothing beats enjoying a hot chocolate and cake in the warm whilst your baby feeds.
