Line a day diary – January in rhyme

Is it just me or did January feel like it lasted forever? Now it’s finally over I’ve had a look back and realised that although it felt like it was full of illness and rain, we’ve had some lovely days out with family and friends too. Here’s a very brief round up of what we’ve been up to.

Winchester Science Centre - Rhyming Mum
Winchester Science Centre

Jan 1st: We explored Winchester Science Centre bringing the new year in in style.

Jan 2nd: Back to work today – used my brain for the first time in a while.

Jan 3rd: It’s a good day for some amazing family news.

Jan 4th: Roo emptied an entire cupboard – she’s got an odd addiction to shoes.

Jan 5th: Another newbie in the family – my heart might just explode.

Jan 6th: Today was a total waste of a day, we barely even left our abode.

Jan 7th: We went into town and purchased Roo’s first Clark’s shoes.

Jan 8th: I had to get the bus today, it’s not the mode of transport that I’d usually choose.

Jan 9th: My little lady isn’t sleeping and it’s driving me round the bend.

Jan 10th: Today was just a shit day. The end.

Jan 11th: Feeling much better again. Oh what a productive morning.

Jan 12th: A close encounter with emus and horses on a dog walk had me wanting to run away screaming.

Jan 13th: A visit from a good old friend and a brilliant wet and muddy walk.

Jan 14th: Yet another crappy nights sleep. I’m so tired I don’t even want to talk.

Jan 15th: A really shit sleep paralysis episode had me yawning all day.

Jan 16th: Thankfully a better sleep had me feeling much more alive than yesterday.

Jan 17th: Swimming with the toddler is always so much fun.

Jan 18th: Nothing exciting happened today. It was quite a boring one.

Jan 19th: Took a friend to the park. Oh what fun we had.

Jan 20th: Whenever Greg is working away all I hear is: “Dad. Dad. Dad”

Dancing in the rain - Rhyming Mum

Jan 21st: Sometimes you’ve just got to get out and dance in the rain.

Jan 22nd: How is it possible that it’s already Monday again?

Jan 23rd: The little one is feeling poorly so it’s time to chill out.

Jan 24th: Another relaxing day at home just lazing about.

Jan 25th: There’s always so much work around the house that needs to be done.

Jan 26th: Off to Cardiff for a hen party – it’s going to be fun.

Jan 27th: Having a fab time away but my baby I do miss.

Jan 28th: Time to go home. I can’t wait for a hug and kiss.

Jan 29th: The magic cleaning fairies appear to have skipped my house this weekend.

Jan 30th: I’m so relieved that this month is finally coming to an end.

Jan 31st: We went to Ickle Village with our friends from Baby Sensory.

Now I’m looking forward to seeing what February will bring for our little family.

Yay for first shoes, such a cute milestone, and your trip to Winchester Science Centre looks wonderful – I’ve heard so many good things about it! Thanks for joining us at #SharingtheBlogLove

  3. January was so dreary and miserable! Love the little moments that you have written about here #blogstravaganza
